Let’s discover anew what it means to be God’s people discovering and participating in God’s mission today!
We all know the world has changed but understanding the impact that has had on the church and knowing how to respond are harder to figure out. In fact, exploring that question is an adaptive challenge that reminds us to seek to discern what God is up to in the midst of this “great unravelling.”
In this online workshop, participants will consider these changes, their implications and how they are, by the work of the Spirit, leading the church to a renewed understanding of what it means to be God’s people joining the Spirit on God’s mission in their neighborhoods.
Desired Outcomes
Participants will . . .
– Be able to identify five changes/adaptive challenges that help describe our ‘new’ world;
– Reflect on where their church is at in terms of responding to these changes;
– Begin to identify the ancient-new way of being the church in their context;
– Explore in an introductory way, the questions, postures and practices that might help us to discover anew what it means to be God’s people discovering and participating in God’s mission in our neighborhoods.
