SUMMARY:Blessed are the Undone: a workshop on leadership and blessing in the face of changing Christian faith
DESCRIPTION:Based on research for Blessed are the Undone (New Leaf Press\, w/ co-author Peter Schuurman) Angela Reitsma Bick will candidly describe some of the triggers that have stimulated a “quiet deconstruction” of Christian faith in Canada. What long-held aspects of Christian faith are being questioned\, and why? Plenty of space will be given to facilitated small group conversation around postures and long-term approaches to foster resilient Christian faith. Expect to wonder together about the blessing of being ‘undone’ in Christ who makes all things new. \nAbout Angela\nAngela Reitsma Bick is an award-winning journalist and Editor-in-Chief of Christian Courier\, an independent Canadian publication which has deftly navigated the unceasingly-tumultuous news industry. \nNote: this workshop is co-sponsored by New Leaf Press as part of their western Canada book tour bringing the insights of Blessed are the Undone to churches and Christian schools from the prairies to Vancouver Island. Books will be available for sale at this event. \nWant to come with your council or other leadership ministry group? Contact Wilma van der Leek: wilma@crc1life.ca
